Well, metabolism is the process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy. So the more you burn what you eat, the less fat that is stored. But remember, you cannot eat unhealthy food, sit around all day and expect your metabolism to carry out all the weight loss work for you. No. You need to eat right and exercise atleast 3-4 times per to achieve maximum impact. Here are ten foods that can rev your metabolism for more weight loss.

Egg whites

Egg whites are rich in branched-chain amino acids and are loaded with Vitamin D and protein. It not only boost your metabolism but its the best portion of the egg to eat because it has a lower fat content compared to egg yolks.

Lean Meat

Lean meat is full of iron and a deficiency in this mineral can slow down metabolism. Eat three to four servings of iron-rich foods such as fortified cereal, chicken, liver, sunflower seeds, etc.

Water

Water is required for all bodily functions so even if your body is a teensy dehydrated, your metabolism may slow down. The best water to drink is cold water because it forces your body to use calories to warm up the body.
