Every now and then you might feel hungry in between meals, have cravings or just need something to chew on. I make this all the time and it has helped me to abstain from junk food. This is a homemade granola bar that you can eat when you experience cravings or anything that can lead you to eating junk food. You can add your own assortments of fruits, nuts, etc to fit your taste.

Granola Bars
Ingredients
Parchment , foil or wax paper
Butter or vegetable oil spray
2 1/2 cups of rolled or regular oats (no instant oatmeal)
1/4 cup of sweetened flake or freshly gratered coconut
1 tbsp of brown sugar
Extras such as almonds, pecans, paenuts, dried cherry,raisins, dried cranberry, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc (All your extras shoud add up to 1 cup)
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
Method
Preheat to 325 degrees farenheit
Line your baking tin with the parchment or wax paper, covering all the sides.
Grease your paper with butter or vegetable spray.
In a big bowl, mix the oats, coconut, sugar, your extras and mix together. In another bowl, mix the canola oil, honey, vanilla and add to the dry mixture.
Stir until the honey is evenly distributed
Pour into baking tin and press firmly into the baking tin using your hands or a flat surface. Press down until it is fully compressed into the tin.
Place into the oven for 30 mins.
After thirty mins, let it cool completely in the baking tin (up to an hour).
Remove from the baking tin and cut with a sharp knife into desired shpaes
